MIANM maintains on its premises a collection of books and other types of printed material specialized in Art, naive or other. +/- 1000 titles. In several languages, especially French and English. Some rare exhibition catalogs and other limited edition works are also part of this unique collection.
Visitors to the museum have free access to it during normal business hours, in a dedicated research space. An attendant can help them with their research. It is also possible to obtain a temporary loan for certain works with a special agreement.
The content of these books is a valuable asset for professionals and amateurs interested in naïve art: artists, curators, collectors, researchers, publishers, gallerists, students, etc.
We intend to continually enrich this collection of documents, in order to better understand the evolution of the Naive Art current, and to reflect it ever more faithfully to our audience.
In this spirit, we welcome any donation of a book or large collection covering artists, their works and exhibitions. In any language. Handwritten messages, autographs and other personal material are always appreciated by visitors.
