Le Musée international d'art naïf de Magog est à la recherche d’une personne dynamique pour compléter un stage dans le poste de directrice adjointe ou directeur adjoint. Il s’agit d’un poste à temps plein.
Description de tâches :
En fonction des orientations établies par le Conseil d’administration et sous la direction du directeur du Musée: • participer à la définition des objectifs de l’institution par rapport à ses activités de collectionnement, de conservation, d’exposition, d’éducation, d’interprétation et d’accueil du public ; • participer à la préparation des budgets pour approbation par le Conseil d’administration et à la gestion des ressources financières pour l’ensemble des opérations du Musée ; • superviser et contribuer à la réalisation de l’ensemble des activités du Musée ; • participer à la gestion du personnel de l'institution ; • participer aux rencontres du Conseil d’administration et l’appuyer dans la recherche de fonds.
Dans le rôle de conservatrice adjointe ou conservateur adjoint,
• Participer à la gestion des collections du Musée et développer une connaissance des milieux de recherche, de diffusion et de commerce d’œuvres d’art naïves.
Profil recherché : • Formation universitaire en histoire de l’art et muséologie ou dans des domaines connexes pertinents ; • Expérience en gestion générale, ainsi qu’en supervision de projets, conception, scénarisation, scénographie/design d’exposition ; • Intérêt marqué pour l’art naïf et les beaux-arts en général ; • Français écrit et parlé 5/5 et anglais parlé 4/5.
Atouts : • Connaissance des technologies multimédia en contexte muséal ; • Connaissances en éducation muséale et en médiation.
Conditions de travail : • Temps plein (35 h / sem.) à 21,50 $ de l'heure.

The Musée international d'art naïf de Magog is looking for a dynamic person to complete an internship in the position of assistant director. This is a full-time position.
Task description :
Based on the guidelines established by the Board of Directors and under the direction of the Museum Director: • participate in defining the institution's objectives in regard to its collections, to their conservation, to exhibitions, to educational, interpretation and public reception activities; • participate in the preparation of budgets for approval by the Board of Directors and in the management of financial resources for all Museum operations; • supervise and contribute to the implementation of all of the Museum’s activities; • participate in the management of the institution's personnel; • participate in meetings of the Board of Directors and support it in fundraising efforts.
In the role of assistant curator,
• Participate in the management of the Museum's collections and develop knowledge in matters of research, distribution and trade environments for naive works of art.
Required profile : • University training in art history and museology or in relevant related fields; • Experience in general management, as well as project supervision, conception, scriptwriting, scenography/exhibition design; • Marked interest in naive art and fine arts in general; • Written and spoken French 5/5 and spoken English 4/5.
Potential assets • Knowledge of multimedia technologies in a museum context; • Knowledge of museum education and mediation.
Working conditions: • Full time (35 hrs/week) at $21.50 per hour.

Individuals wishing to apply for an internship must meet the following eligibility criteria:
• be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, or have refugee status in Canada (non-Canadians who hold a temporary employment visa or are waiting to obtain their permanent resident status are not eligible); • be legally authorized to work in Canada (have a valid social insurance number); • be between 16 and 30 years old inclusive when starting the internship; and • be a college or university graduate (certificate, bachelor's degree, master's degree or doctorate).
Note: Priority will be given to graduates who have never participated in YCW internship programs and who are unemployed or underemployed.
